Description
Circa 1810. Having exceptional form with a nice smaller size. The body is well grained mahogany hinged to open at top and flanked by brass bale handles; the lower case is centered by escutcheon plate and rests atop its original frame having poplar glue blocks at interior corners. The lower edge has been nicely banded with a dark wood and possibly dogwood and the legs are all very handsomely tapered and reeded with turned wood foot. Tulip poplar secondary wood.
