Housed in matching cloth slipcase. Kate Reed was the husband of James Hay Reed, a personal friend and close advisor to Andrew Carnegie who started the law firm that is now known as Reed Smith. Kate and James' son, David Aiken Reed represented Pennsylvania in the United States Senate from 1922 to 1935.
