Aluminum plated, plastic pinback badge, 2 x 2 in., bearing the text ‘LANDWACHT’ at the bottom, referring to the Nederlandse Landwacht, a paramilitary organization founded by German occupation forces in Holland in 1943. The organization largely consisted of members of the Dutch National Socialist movement and were utilized to guard buildings, check identity cards, and carry out arrests, house searches, and raids. The reverse of the badge is lacking the pin for attachment. No markings. Overall, very good.
