123 leaves (of 136). Lacks A gathering and leaves B1-5, R8 with colophon. With 45 large metal or woodcut illustrations. Gothic bastarda-style type printed in red and black within elaborate historiated borders. 21.3x14.5 cm (8¼x5¾"), later full calf, blindstamped and ruled in gilt, rebacked with old spine laid down, marbled endpapers.
Impressively illustrated and produced book of hours printed by the first woman to publish the Bible, Yolande Bonhomme, widow of Thielman Kerver. Annotations in an early hand throughout text. Bookplate of noted French collector Philippe-Louis Bordes de Fortage (d.1924). Text in Latin and French. Title and imprint from NUC. Scarce, 5 copies located, 2 of which in North America. Bohatta, Livres d'Heures 323; Brunet V, 1624 no. 198.
