Description

French Art Glass Vase by Ovington Bros is a rare find. French Deco piece is an acid stamp at the base, it is very faded and hard to see but there. -4.5"H x 5.5" W

Mid- 1800's Ovington brothers had traded in sculpture, ceramics, pottery, and tableware. They quickly expanded to a new two-story building that spanned several storefronts on Fulton Street in New York, which was at the edge of the downtown shopping district. This fine store would stock some of the more refined examples of porcelain and china one could obtain, mostly imported from Europe by manufacturers such as Sevres, Minton, Cauldon, and more.
