American, circa 1880, stoneware. Relief " Rebecca at the Well" design on the front and relief floral display on the back, with impressed "3" in a crown on the bottom. Probably Robinson Clay Factory., the matching lid and original spigot intact.

Cooler is in excellent condition. There is a 2" long glued chip in the original lid, as well as an approximate 4" hairline in the lid.
