Description
KEITH HARING (1958-1990)/ Large subway chalk drawing measuring 40 x 30 inches. In good condition. Keith Haring had a habit of visiting subways in order to "draw freely" as he put it. The artist would execute graffiti on the advertising paper that was being prepped and readied for attachment of subway advertising posters. He also got arrested on several occasions for this fairly minor dare-deviling. The verso shows advertising paper and pieces of posters attached. Edges are torn and the hinging marks are visible. Art Features Keith Harinng's most popular icons of humans in silly, perplexed situations and their every day dramas. Provenance: Private collection purchase. More pictures upon request. Note:International buyers may not be able to receive the frame (if applicable).
