Condition
General marks, scratches, rubbing, wear, glazing and firing flaws. Most notable losses to decoration at edges. Scattered pinpricks, black pitting and some kiln inclusions overall. Firings cracks visible around handles. Some staining to interior of bowl, there is a 1 1/2in yellowed hairline at the basin of the bowl. There is some uneveness to the footrim of the tureen, so it sits slightly wobbly. Some glaze pooling and inclusions around footrim of undertray. Under UV, the staining to the interior fluoresces as well as an area under one handle, however this area appears to be a glaze thinness rather than restoration as there is fine black pitting visible in this area. The stem of the finial on lid has been restored.
