Donald Demers
Maine, Massachusetts,b.1956
Impressionist depiction of a schooner rolling through high seas in the early morning hours. Demers attended the School of the Worcester Art Museum and the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston as well as worked aboard boats allowing him to utilize his experiences in his work. His illustrations have appeared in Reader's Digest, Sail Magazine, Field & Stream, Sports Afield, Yankee, Downeast, and National Geographic Magazine. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Marine Artists, an elected member of the Guild of Boston Artists, and has won nine awards at the International Marine Art Exhibition.
