Description
Himalayan region, late 19th century. Each ring inset with a domed octagonal agate stone, the silver partly gilded, incised and with silver applications. The stones are characterized by their unique irregular patterns of concentric circles, displaying an array of different colors, each circle within the pattern boasts its own distinct hue, making each ring a striking and visually appealing statement piece of jewelry.
Condition: Very good condition with minor wear.
Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik Istvan Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above. Dr. Istvan Zelnik, President of the Hungarian South and Southeast Asian Research Institute, is a former high-ranking Hungarian diplomat who spent several decades in Southeast Asia, building the largest known private collection of Asian art in Europe.
