The crash of 1929 had a crippling effect on the business however, and in 1936 the Muller Freres studios finally closed its doors for the last time. Rough iron mounting with vine motive, original glass shade , rewired with American socket .It is the last time in France that it was possible to produce and offer brass pieces of this quality , the mass production of the 1950's was just around the corner and turned the page on small atelier to open the age of cost saving . The iron arm and design can be found with the work of Sube , Sue and Mare and other from this era . It will fit any modernist interior and can bring a warmer touch to a pure Eames style furniture set.
