Andrei Grositsky, Russian, Soviet era, 1934 to 2017, oil painting on canvas, The Trumpet, 1987. Signed, titled, and dated, on the backside. Andrei Borisovich Grositsky was a Russian artist. His work is genetically linked with domestic nonconformism or other art, but today he is perceived as one of the leading authors who worked in line with the conceptualization of pictorial plasticity. Grositsky is usually mentioned among the founders of Russian Pop art. Grositskys work is in a number of public collections, including the Zimmerli Rutgers University Museum, New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, a number of regional museums in Russia, and in many private collections around the world.
