Description
These great looking medicine bottles were from the Horton and Converse Pharmacy in Pasadena, CA. The labels appear original from Merck & Co pharmaceuticals. Lids appear to be bakelite. Both are approx 5" tall. Glass is Duraglas from Owens Illinois Co. These pieces were inherited and passed down through the family by the founders. Horton & Converse was founded by Charles Horton and Lawrence Converse in December,1917. Throughout the 1920s and 1930s began to expand throughout southern California including Beverly Hills, Pasadena, San Bernardino among them. They are now more than pharmaceuticals, the provide home health equipment and supplies.
