Both sets of ink cakes (calligraphy ink) are of varying shapes & sizes, some cracked, all decorated with gilt images & calligraphy, one set of eight (Qing Dynasty) fitted within a lacquered case, distressed, measuring 2" high x 11 1/4" wide x 8 3/4" deep, the second group consisting of nine within a fitted silk lined case, measuring 1" high x 8 1/2" wide x 5 3/4" deep.
