Florian Kenneth Lawton (American 1921-2011) Monday Morning, 1978, original watercolor and gouache on Arches paper, signed in lower left margin, titled, with detailed description and signature verso, unframed.
Description includes the following:
"Location: Navooh Road, East-Middlefield, Ohio
A new road discovery in Amish Country. Its Monday - obvious by the clothes line still up. The clothes have been taken down - it is mid-afternoon the women are probably preparing supper and the men are at the auction down the road. A quiet pervades on these roads in the winter lending additional charm to the simple life and farms of these people."
