34.2 mm. This lovely high quality Inaugural Button with its "G W" central letters being of the major "Wider" type, and the button's Original Shank is fully intact, excellent in condition and perfectly straight. An attractive example with natural even rich brown tone both face and back, with just a trivial bit of variation, as shown. Overall, this exceptional button's surfaces are smooth, hard and somewhat glossy. The "mat" pattern in the oval field behind "G W" are sharp and clear, having no typical encrustation or defects. All details appear bold and the back shows just a hint of use when worn. A top quality example of this historic (1789) George Washington Inaugural Button.
