Description
Native American, Northwest Coast United States, Alaska, Inuit, ca. mid 20th century CE. A pair of miniature wooden totem poles hand-carved by indigenous Alaskan artists. The base of the unpainted totem is signed "Made in Alaska by Raven" and depicts a wolf or fox atop a head. The other pole is carved and painted, depicting two birds and a bear-like animal. Size of larger totem: 3.5" L x 2.25" W x 8.75" H (8.9 cm x 5.7 cm x 22.2 cm)
