Francesco Piranesi (Italian, 1758-1810) 19th century etching depicting funerary urns and masks discovered at the tomb of Mamia at Pompeii. Provenance: Phyllis Lucas Gallery, NYC. [Image: 12 1/2" H x 20 3/4" W on a larger sheet]. Tipped to mount at top corners. Contained under a thin cardstock mat. Toning and soiling with light scuffs at bottom text. One antique paper repair at lower right edge.
