MAHFOUZ NAGUIB: (1911-2006) Egyptian writer, Nobel Prize winner for Literature, 1988. A rare A.L.S., one page, folio, n.p. (Egypt), 2nd May 1988, to Philippe Vigreux, in Egyptian Arabic. The untranslated letter, penned in bold red ink on feint ruled notepaper was written by Mahfouz to his French translator.
