Description
A Nazi German 1938 Commemorative Medal, known as the Sudetenland Medal. The medal is circular and similar in appearance to the Anschluss Medal. On the obverse: a man holding the Nazi flag stands on a podium bearing the eagle emblem of the Third Reich. He assists a second man onto the podium, whose right arm bears a broken shackle. On the reverse: the inscription date is October 1, 1938. The date is surrounded by the words One People, One Nation, One Leader in German. Designed by Prof. Richard Klein. Suspended from a striped black, red, black ribbon and white outer stripes, the colors of the Sudetenland. A decoration of Nazi Germany was awarded during the interwar period, and the second in a series of Occupation Medals. Second World War German Military Medals And Awards For Collectors.
