Description
Etching, 18" x 12 1/2", pencil signed. Logan moved to Boston from Manitoba at the age of 16 to study at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts; painting under Edmund Tarbell and etching under Frank Benson, before going onto the Chicago Art Institute. After serving as an officer in the US Navy in the First World War, Logan settled in Paris for almost twenty years, where he was the director of the Bellevue Art Training Center and taught classes at Louvre. He finished his career as chair of the art department at Connecticut college, from 1934-1954.
