Description
mid to late 19th century, one mahogany with spiral turned stiles, foliate cartouche splat, spiral turned legs, casters, 22 x 19 x 18; the other walnut with a floral crest, round acanthine back with mythological masks, cabriole legs, casters, 46 x 19 x 20-1/2 in.

both chairs are structurally sound, mahogany chair with scattered small repairs to seatback, scattered small chips and losses; walnut chair with dark finish that was lacquered some time ago (rear with finish losses that have been lacquered over), small losses to top of crest (have been lacquered over), loose seat cushion springs; both chairs with expected abrasions and general wear form age and use
