Amedeo Modigliani (1884-1920), Italian painter and sculptor, was born in Livorno on July 12, 1884, and died in Paris, France, on January 24, 1920. settled in Paris after 1906. His early works were influenced by Cezanne. His personal artistic style was formed after 1915. Later, he became interested in primitive art, African art, Greek antiquity and early medieval art. Whether painting or sculpture, he places great emphasis on the role of line, using it to master the body and surface of his works. With elegant rhythm and interest, the color layers are rich and strong and striking. He pursues the beauty of deformation in his figures. The portraits and female nudes are slightly exaggerated, and in addition to highlighting individual characteristics, he pays particular attention to the charm and sense of the times.
