Title: Masterpiece Tramp Art Pedestal Box

Additional Information: Impressive tramp art multi-compartment pedestal box with carved finials. Incredibly there are 86 layers of chip carved wood from the base to the finial top suggesting many months of dedicated work. It has four velvet lined compartments to suggest a utilitarian purpose to its construction - although it is hard not to marvel at the creative artistry. The compartment's tops are held securely in place with tiny dowels. A well thought out monument of the tramp art form. In excellent shape with no losses or repairs. Circa 1930 - 1940.
