Description
Made by J. & E. Stevens Company. Cromwell, Connecticut - Circa 1890's. Insert your coin in the slot at the top of the bank and lift the lever for deposit. The coin drops into the bank as the dog opens his mouth, presumably to bark and ward off those who might attempt to steal your savings. The three spinning cylinders that provide the safe's combination are typically set to the sequence "2-1-7". This represents an absolutely stunning example of the Watch Dog Safe. Quality doesn't get any better than this.
