Description
New Hampshire Queen Anne Maple Highboy, 1760-80. In two parts; the flat top above a stepped cove-molded cornice over two aligned drawers and four graduated drawers, the lower section with coved mid-molding over two graduated thumb-molded long drawers, the upper simulating two short drawers and the lower divided into three panels, the center panel fan-carved, above a double rectangular arched shirt centering a carved fan and drop pendant, raised on cabriole legs ending in pad feet on tiny disks. H: 79.5 in., W: 38.25 in., D: 22.25 in. Provenance: Wayne Pratt, Inc., American Antiques, Woodbury, Connecticut, purchased July 14, 2007, inventory #HIB137.
