David Rodocker (1840-1919), photographer. Albumen cabinet card. Winfield, Kansas: D. Rodocker. Photographer’s imprint to mount recto margin. Subject is labeled “Cjarley Chaoananga(?) Ute Chief” both in negative and by ink inscription overlaid.
A full-length studio portrait with the subject seated in front of a painted backdrop showing a pastoral woodland vista. He wears his hair in two braids while wearing a hat and western style clothing, an elaborate watch fob visible along his waistcoat. He holds a walking stick while seated upon a hay bale.
