Attributed to Fredrick James Aldridge steamboat fishermen lighthouse marine harbor seascape painting. We are hopeful this is by English artist Aldridge and the distant steamboat and cliffs are well done but the foreground boat with the French flag does not seem to have the detail of top Aldridge examples sourced online. Interestingly, the oil has a high quality conservation lining on replacement stretchers so perhaps this is by Fredreick J Aldridge, just heavily conserved. Sold strictly as an attribution, 20in x 30in, 25in x 35in x 2in framed, bears signature lower fight, plaque pressed against painting lower center, 20th century carved corner gilt frame.
