Having an original authentic mixed media illustration by well-known Artist Louis Icart. It depicts an old lady with a frown on her face, writing in pencil by Icart is the title "Pourquoi que vous me regardes comme ga?". Which translated into English says "Why do you look at me like that?". Done with mixed media charcoal and watercolor. Signed lower right in pencil Louis Icart. C.1920's, mated and framed. Size: 9 3/4" tall x 6.5" wide. Condition: Good! Small 3/8" tear at lower right. A couple tiny pieces of paper cut (minor). Note: Icart was a well-known illustrator and this sketch was done for one of these books.
