Louis XV style chinoiserie black lacquered commode in the manner of Pierre Denizot (French, maître 1740, active 1750-1780) with serpentine-fronted shaped rectangular griotte marble top above a bombe body with two drawers, allover gessoed, lacquered, and gilded with chinoiserie scenes after Jean-Baptiste Pillement (French, 1728-1808), with shaped legs terminating in rocaille sabots. 32.5" H x 44" W x 18" D.
