20th century, after a design by James Houston (Canadian, 1921-2005), the plated sterling penguin looking down to an engraved bird below the surface, unsigned.
h. 6-3/4", w. 5-1/4", d. 2"

Condition

In overall good condition. Three notable chips to the base, slight rubbing to the frosted side, tarnish to attached sterling penguin, and minimum surface wear to polished base. All consistent with age, use, and material.
