Monumental Carved Mahogany Five-Tube Tall Case Clock

late 19th century, the case attributed to R. J. Horner, New York, the hood with a pair of griffins in the frieze, carved figures of "Father Time" at the front corners, a pair of maidens flanking the mid door and seated griffins in the base, the face dial bearing a "Tiffany & Co." retailer's tag, the movement with a moon dial and quarter chiming Westminster.

In "as found" condition. The two "Father Time" figures on each side of the hood are both missing their staffs. There is dryness along the lower portions of the feet. A small add-on piece of wood at the upper right corner of the backboard is off but present. The fabric is lacking. The movement is missing its second hand. Minor wear and chips to the painted moon dial. The hanging racks for the tubes were not installed upon receipt. We installed them for the photos, and they may need to be adjusted for exact placement. Lacking a winding key. The cable for the center weight is broken. Mild tarnishing to the three weights and pendulum. We are uncertain as to the overall running condition.
