Regency-Style Mahogany Secretary Bookcase

late 19th century, the cove-molded cornice with applied balls, above two ebonized, astragal-glazed doors opening to a shelved interior, the lower section fitted with a drop-front drawer opening to an inset leather surface and a variety of drawers and cubbyholes over three long, graduated drawers, the whole raised on splayed bracket feet.

In overall good condition. The left upper door has a broken pane of glass at the lower left corner. There are a few old ink stains and imperfections to the leather blotter. The bottom drawer has a scuff and loss to the molding at the right edge. Scattered dings throughout. Retains a rich finish and patina.
