Description: With various inscriptions in the plate. Satirical sheet on the South Sea bubble, which was a great speculative bubble in 1720, similar to the tulip bubble in the 17th century. It referred to the seemingly fantastic profits promised by the trade in exotic products from the South Seas. In the depiction, people are shown with stones on their heads, which was proverbial for craziness in Hollan.

Condition
Rather good condition. With small creases and tears at the corners and margins, vertically torn through in the centre and glued at the back, with glue residues of an old gluing at the lower centre.
