Vintage Sterling Marcasite Leaf Necklace, 17", Signed Birks, 1930's-1940's. There are five slightly graduated leaves with stems across the front of the neck the are appx. 3" wide and range in drop from slightly over 1/2" to 3/4" at center. It is signed Sterling and Birk. Birks is inside a rectangular frame. The Birks line has gone back into the 1800's and changed through the years with different maker's marks, changes in leadership and in 2005, they became the Birks Group. A Canadian group. This necklace has an alternating flat ring chain with spring clasp. Also marked .925. Tested and everything tests as sterling at a weight of appx. 11.50 gr. Very good conditon. All marcasites present and appear to be original. Very nice quality necklace from the earlier 1900's. (W36-1321.22.1X6 SS7763 J LD 7/15/22).
