For your consideration is this 1950-60s Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest sign presented by the U. S. Department of Agriculture. This sign would have been posted on the edge of the national forest boundary. The Beaverhead-Deerlodge national forest is located in the Southwestern part of Montana and is the largest in the state. It spans 3.35 million acres over 8 counties including Jefferson, Powell, Granite, Deer Lodge, Silverbow, Beaverhead, Madison and Gallatin county. The forest sign shows an all wood construction and has a light brown background. It reads, "Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest / U. S. Department of Agriculture" in white reflective lettering. There are two mounting holes present, one top middle and one bottom middle for easy hanging. The sign shows good condition overall with some wear from years of use and being outdoors. The sign is in good readable and display condition. The sign measures 28 1/2" L x 26" W x 5/8" D.
