Description
Impressionist painting depicting a group of women gathered/gossiping on a path by a river or seaside village/town. There is a man walking nearby, a figure in the background who looks to be a woman seated with an umbrella by a low wall. There is a signature in the bottom left corner that reads "C.A. Grant". Similar paintings and subject matter by contemporary Impressionist artists Jules R. Hevre (1887-1981) and Pauline Palmer (1867-1938) suggest date as being late 19th century. Oil on Canvas. Excellent overall. 27" x 18" framed size. Sight size 22" x 14". In-house shipping available.
