Alexander Oppler German (1869-1939) woman at table lithograph pencil signed lower right. Unframed, loose and not glued or mounted. Provenance: From a private collector, Indianapolis. Biography from Mehlis: Alexander Oppler was a Jewish sculptor and painter born in 1869 in Hanover. He was the brother of Ernst Oppler and the son of Silesia architect Edwin Oppler. He studied in Munich, Paris and Brussels and later worked in Berlin. He was a member of the Munich and Berlin Secession. His brother Ernst exhibited his works in museums in Hanover, Cologne, Stuttgart and Dusseldorf, as well as in Brussels. 9 3/4" H x 12 3/4" W
