Description
This Gorget was recovered from Northern Kentucky.ÿ Its estimated to be 800 to 2000 years old and was made from Gray Slate.ÿ This is called a two hole Gorget.ÿ A Gorget is a necklace that had a thin strip of leather looped through the two holes and tied behind the wearers neck.ÿ These are believed to be mostly worn by women but probably some of the men used them also.ÿ This one is 4 3/4" long and in excellent condition for its age.ÿ Current Market Value for this Artifact is $ 400.00 - $ 800.00.
