He was an abstract painter, graphic artist, lecturer and art educator. Revington Arthur was the head of the Chautauqua Art Summer School from about 1956 to the early 1990's. He taught painting and drawing sessions as well as gave periodic exhibitions, lectures and speeches on art. His classes were well attended by both young and old. Some of the guest lecturers or speakers at Chautauqua were from the center of the arts/culture of New York City.
