Pair of Chinese Ming Dynasty Famille Noire Porcelain Flower Pot. The Pot has a shallow body, slight deep, thick and octagonal body, with angled cavetto elevated the steep sides upward the flaring mouth rim, raised on eight foot base. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in black base color which contrast against famille noire design color, depicted of abundant flowers bloom interspersed foliage. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
