Chinese carved hardwood vitrine cabinet, circa 1900, with pagoda top and shelves above a central glazed section, flanked by shelves and two smaller glass-doored side cabinets, on an elaborately carved base with scrolling feet. 80" H x 58" W x 20" D. Provenance: From the collection of Le Lieu and Malcolm Browne (American, 1931-2012), the photojournalist who took the 1963 award-winning photograph of the self-immolation of Buddhist Monk Thic Quang Duc (Vietnamese, 1893-1963). Note: This item is only available for preview at our Astoria warehouse, located at 36-01 35th St., Astoria, NY 11106. To see an item, you must make an appointment.
