Pre-Columbian, Gulf Coast of Mexico, Veracruz (Vera Cruz) culture, ca. 3rd to 7th century CE. A hollow-built pottery figure with a massive head who stands atop bar-shaped feet while raising both arms towards the sky. The petite face protrudes from below the serrated coiffure and is flanked by tab-shaped ears while remains of red pigment are visible across the brow, hands, and hair serrations.
