Major art publishers in Europe and the U.S.A have made his name synonymous with clowns, humor and satire. His artwork graces the walls and ceilings of stately homes throughout the world, and his most successful works have been published as prints in at least one hundred and forty two countries. He was appointed official artist to the Emmett Kelly Estate from 1986 to 1992 during which time he created over 300 drawings and paintings which are rapidly becoming collector/investment pieces.In his drawings and paintings L-J strives to express an inner essence of mankind. Primarily a portrait painter, he is a modern romantic who expresses bathos and pathos often in the same picture.
