Graziella Jacoby (1885-1980) Original Drawing. WWII 1943 Portrait of Master Sargent R.T. Hollingsworth at the Pasadena California Hispitality House. Original drawing. Signed, inscribed, and dated '43. The Pasadena Hospitality House was opened in 1942 to provide meals for US Servicemen. Graziella Jacoby is known for Indian and femail figure and portrait painting, drawing. Born in Illinois on August 12, 1885, Jacoby worked in Chicago during 1908-27. While there, she studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and continued with Mucha in Czechoslovakia and with Bellows in New York City. Upon moving to southern California in 1928, she settled in Pasadena and became active in the local art scene. During the 1940s she gave art lessons to servicement at Pasadena's Hospitality House.
