Description
Chinese Early 19th Century Export Porcelain Jar with gold framed "windows" with sepia landscapes surrounded by gilt vines with blue berries all on a cafe au lait ground; the matching "Mandarin Hat" cover with gilt seated Fu Dog. Height with cover 11 1/2 inches (29.2 cm.). PROVENANACE: Purchased from Polly Latham Asian Art, Boston, MA with her label on the base.
Condition
Light age related wear to enamels and gilding on jar, the cover damaged and restored with over-painting.
