OCLC locates 8 copies of this edition. This enlarged edition includes the two original stories by Der Nister from the first edition (Vilna, 1917). The image of the goat is a continuous motif in Chagall's art - a symbolic reference to the artist's original family name Tsigel, which is Yiddish for goat.
