PERIOD VIEWS FROM MAINE TO NEW YORK. 1st quarter 20th century. Approximately 190 original photographs, which includes scenes of Indian Town Island, Boothbay, ME and it's harbor Maquaom Bay in Swanson, VT; several views within the city of Boston, MA; Camp Abraham Lincoln and ship building yards in South Portland, ME; images of the Statue Liberty and shipping along the Hudson River along with other state and private homes and buildings in New York; a memorial to the Battle of Harlem in N.Y. The scenes includes examples of rural life including camping and boating, lodging. Scenes of firefighting equipment, parades etc. Also several interior views of restaurants and other public buildings. A nice collection is seen through the eyes of a tourist of the time. SIZE: Images are all 3" x 5". CONDITION: generally very good. (05-161/JJ). $250-500.
