Late 19th century, New England. The weathervane with sheet copper mane and iron or zinc head on original stand with wrought iron directionals and original iron roof mount. SIZE: Vane is 19" h x 30" l. Overall 53" h including stand. Directional are 23" x 23". CONDITION: crimping along top edges of mane. Proper left foreleg repaired at juncture of support rod. Some small seam splits. Original old patina includes remnants of old surface and gilding beneath later paint. (05-235/JJ). $800-1,600.
