Circa 1890-1910. The set comprised of a chest of drawers with mirror, full sized bed with high headboard and a commode with tower bedrail. All applied with intricate carved walnut scrolling leaf tip decoration. The rectangular chest with yolk form edge above a pair of serpentine short drawers over two long drawers, raised on cabriole front legs. The shield shaped beveled mirror mounted within a yolk shaped frame with scrolled edges and applied leaf tips. The bed with paneled head board, scrolled ears, and delicate applied leaf tips at the crest. The footboard of similar design. The commode with attached tower rail fitted with a long drawer above a bank of two short drawers, single cabinet door, raised on short cabriole legs, the apron with foliate carving. SIZE: Chest: Overall 73" h x 45" w x 21 1/2" d. Bed: Headboard is 74" h. Footboard is 35" h x 56" w overall. Interior is 53" w. Overall bed is 78" l. Interior is 75" x 54". The bedframe accommodates a double full-sized mattress and box spring. CONDITION: excellent. Refinished and re-polished, with a natural and beautiful honey brown color. (05-270/JJ). $1,500-2,000.
